Martire Family Arena | Sacred Heart University

A $70 million Sacred Heart University ice hockey and skating arena has broken ground on the university’s West Campus in Fairfield, Conn. Measuring 122,158 SF, with an NHL-standard 85×200 FT rink, it is the future home of the Sacred Heart University Pioneers Division I men’s and women’s hockey teams, members of Atlantic Hockey. First puck drop is slated for January 2023.

As supplier of the building’s all-important exterior steel panels, EcoSteel is playing a key role in helping Sacred Heart University (SHU) realize its dream. The architect chose EcoSteel from numerous other steel panel manufacturers and suppliers to provide the 16,000 square feet of metal panels for the arena’s exterior cladding.
