New Project
3030 home
This prefabricated industrial style home is the personal home of the project’s general contractor! One of the main objectives of this build was to maximize the interior space on the 30’ by 30’ site footprint. Architect Greg LaVardera designed the home with an open-spaced concept in mind to take advantage of the space and the industrialized style of the home. Using our prefabricated steel engineering process, this project managed to create 2,000 square feet of usable living space and 200 square feet of balcony and porch space!

One factor that helped the home to feel more expansive and open was to maintain some unfinished industrialized elements such as the exposed steel beams. This was not only an aesthetic choice, but a practical one as the space can accommodate flexibility in its usage. Design touches of natural materials, textures, and colors added softness and warmth to the home. A perfect balance of industrial and natural elements, such as the open web bar joists coupled with the reclaimed barn wood floor substrate, contribute to this home’s unique character.
In addition to the attractive design of this custom prefabricated steel home, this project boasts an energy-efficient thermal envelope due to EcoSteel’s insulated panels, R32 and R24 pre-insulated steel roof and wall panels. These insulated panels help to create an airtight structure that retains heat and cooling much more easily, therefore reducing costs associated with energy consumption and minimizing the home’s carbon footprint. When all was said and done, this home exceeded energy code by 60% simply by using EcoSteel.

Modern Prefab Development
EcoSteel has been selected to provide solutions for a coastal development project in an undisclosed location along the coast in Southern California. Modern steel and glass designs are created for a wildfire zone that borders open space. The non-combustible steel roof and wall panels create a safer alternative to asphalt or cedar shingles with regard to flame spread.
Fleetwood Glass windows will provide floor to ceiling views of the coastal foothills and sunsets to Catalina Island.
