This 42-acre complex on the L.A. Waterfront is approved to ultimately feature more than 330,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and other commercial uses. EJ Basler, who offers the latest in cutting edge precision machining technologies and techniques, came to EcoSteel with the vision of demolishing their existing industrial warehouse and reconstructing it with an additional rear connecting corridor. This new industrial project and campus-style expansion feature the construction of a new 30,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, a structure fit to support the growth of their operation.

The project will be led and developed by architect, Marc Amstadter of Amstadter Architects, a specialist in all things industrial and commercial design.

The exact time it will take for the erection of this prefab commercial metal building system is dependent on the contractor, however, generally the expectation for a building this size can be as short as a few weeks or a couple of months.

Prefab Shelter Solutions
The state of California is facing a growing homeless population resulting in massive camp-like communities across the state. An estimated 129,972 people are experiencing homelessness on any given day and roughly 3,500-6,700 people in San Francisco alone are unsheltered and living on the streets.
In response, Mayor London Breed is moving forward to eradicate the situation by creating the third homeless facility in the Bayview area.
In late July, the SF Mayor announced plans for the newest Navigation Center of District 10 that will offer around the clock stay, permit people to bring their pets and partners and offer a more intense health and housing solution.
The structure will occupy 200 beds in a “ district that has the second-highest number of individuals experiencing homelessness,” says Jeff Kositsky, Director of the city’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing.
EcoSteel will design a custom prefab 23,000 sq ft metal building that will help to optimize space, decrease labor costs and simplify the building’s foundation with a structural support system. The project will be developed by Mike Bullman, Architect at the office of Charles F. Bloszies and constructed by Pankow Builders.

Commercial Brewery Construction & Steel Framed Brewing Buildings
Commercial breweries and prefab steel construction are truly a match made in heaven, and the Catskill Brewery stands as a prime example of the benefits that steel construction has to offer.
Our client needed a large space to house commercial-grade brewing equipment. This is an area in which steel building construction shines. Because steel framing can support the immense weight without the need for cumbersome support beams, we can accommodate large open style interiors. This design was perfect for the oversized fermentation equipment the brewery needs to craft its beer. For this project, we joined forces with River Architects to design custom trusses and clerestory windows. The interior space measures approximately 12,000 square feet – ample room for fermentation, tastings, and events.
New York state can experience brutal winters with temperatures often dropping into the teens. Our clients requested extreme insulation to help keep the heating and cooling costs for the large building low. We pre-engineered the project with insulated wall and roof panels to help maintain an optimal thermal envelope inside. The project even includes a section of planted, living roof to aid in runoff capture and added insulation. With a fire-resistant steel frame and Fire Rated panels to protect its combustible equipment, Catskill Brewery can rest assured that it will be brewing its beer for many years to come.
