“Featuring a steel frame and prefabricated exterior panels by EcoSteel, this home designed by a professor of architecture in Miami consumes just one-seventh of the energy needed to fabricate and erect a conventional concrete block home in the area. Issues of durability and sustainability were considered, given Miami’s harsh climate, and solar panels and a green roof were also incorporated.”

The experts at EcoSteel show
how their steel building systems
are a smart alternative to
materials like wood.

By Laura Rote

When clients turn to California based EcoSteel, it’s because they want something extraordinary. The company’s modern, prefabricated steel building systems are not only designed with architects to look beautiful—they stand up to nearly any condition imaginable and save owners time, money, and energy.

Working with EcoSteel starts early, as the team makes a 3D model of the entire building system and works with the building owner and architects to identify needs and challenges early on. Using superior BIM technology, EcoSteel designs to meet or exceed local building codes while resisting earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and wildfires. They then produce a prefabricated kit of parts that quickly and efficiently assembles onsite…

EcoSteel Cannabis / Marijuana Green House Facility

dscott@ecosteel.com · January 14, 2019 ·

EcoSteel offers exemplary steel buildings designed specifically to be government-approved indoor crop facilities. Whether you are growing marijuana for medical or recreational purposes, our buildings create a weather and fire resistant cultivation atmosphere that makes them effective prefabricated steel marijuana greenhouses. Their atmosphere accommodates ventilation systems, lighting components, irrigation systems and de-humidification systems.

  • Fulfill all federal regulations for indoor marijuana growth & security
  • Excellent weather resistance for long term durability & security
  • Temperature control to protect your crop & equipment
  • Superior Energy Efficiency
  • Fast & Easy Construction
3 Things to Know About Our Prefab Metal Buildings & Title 24 Requirements

Due to their adaptable design and limitless features, our buildings are an excellent expansion solution to processing facilities, shops, nurseries and dispensaries. The grow facilities in prefabricated steel marijuana greenhouses have an almost limitless interior span. This means that you can create a climate controlled year-round growing space with no set maximum width – accommodating large crops, water storage, processing facilities, pre-transport storage and offices. Unlike wood which gets exponentially more expensive with greater spans, modern steel construction allows for extremely cavernous spaces with no interior support beams to obstruct the working area while maintaining a reasonable cost per square foot.

EcoSteel pre-engineered buildings come pre-cut and pre-drilled so field work in minimized. This speeds up the erection process exponentially. Cost is an amazing benefit. This is extremely important because capital in the industry often comes in the form of cash. Steel buildings lend themselves quite nicely to the specialized equipment necessary to cultivate a seasonal crop year-round.

Marijuana cultivation requires a high degree of humidity. The ability of steel to withstand the corrosion of high humidity environments over wood construction has made prefabricated steel marijuana greenhouses extremely attractive to new growers. Our steel comes pre-galvanized which means it’s naturally able to withstand high humid interior climates without warping and rotting the way wood construction most certainly will.

Our prefabricated greenhouses are customized to your requirements and provide excellent and measurable ROI. These buildings are not only cost efficient but also offer great value for long-term performance. EcoSteel buildings are easily detailed to accommodate the load requirements necessary to support this equipment. Unlike traditional buildings which need to be customized based on the foundation of the structure, steel buildings are easily replicated – which means that detailing and options can be mass produced with the only variable being the foundation.  Without natural light, warehouse grow rooms depend on intelligent grow lights which need to replicate the parts of the sunlight spectrum that the marijuana plants need at each stage of growth.
